The Area

Megara is located on the northern coast of the Saronic Gulf, 40 km from the center of Athens. It is the home of the Municipality of Megara and had been the capital city of the former Province of Megara. The name Megara has remained from the ancient times until today. It is in a privileged geographical location as it is very close to the Capital City (Athens) but at the same time remains a quiet town near the Sea. One of the most beautiful spots in the area is the picturesque port of Pachi. Access to Megara is quite easy via Attiki Odos and Athens – Corinth National Road.
